Enlisted for three years on 25 Jan 1862 at Madison, Wisconsin, and mustered there on 27 Jan 1862. Private. Sick in hospital in Bowling Green, Kentucky, 17 Sep 1862. Assigned as a wagoner with the supply train on 1 Oct 1863. Assigned as a wagoner with the ambulance on 28 Jun 1864. Wounded three times. Mustered out with Company B at Chattanooga, Tennessee, on 1 Dec 1864. Post war: He went to Ulen, Becker County, Minnesota. Died in 1908.
