Second World War: Served in both Atlantic and Pacific war zones, sailing with the U.S.Army Transport Corp., and the U.S.Merchant Marines. He also served during the Korean and Vietnam wars. Married in 1946 to Signe J. Lundberg. Post war: Died 16 Dec 2001 at Edmonds, Washington. Interment in Edmonds Memorial Cemetery on 18 Jan 2002.
