Enlisted for three years on 11 Aug 1862 at Platteville, Wisconsin. Mustered 14 Sep 1862 at La Crosse, Wisconsin. Private. Absent sick from 28 Jul 1863 to 6 Mar 1864. Was with the company during the campaign from Chattanooga to Atlanta, Georgia. took Part in all the battles of the regiment. He was also on the march from Atlanta to Savannah, Georgia, and to Goldsboro, and Raleigh, North Carolina, and to Washington DC. He was in all the battles during these marches.
