Mustered 25 Mar 1864 at Camp Randall, Madison, Wisconsin. Enlistment credited to Wiota, Lafayette County, Wisconsin. Private. Absent sick at Keokuk, Iowa, since 20 Oct 1864. Transferred to WI 3rd Inf on 10 Jun 1865. Mustered out at Davenport, Iowa, on 20 May 1865. [Dates are as listed.] Post war: Buried at Graceland cemetery, Blanchardville, Wisconsin; stone reads “18 Sep 1846 – May 1921”.
