WI 7th Inf Co G. Born “Even Juulsen Høyme” on 18 Dec 1845 at Vestra Slidre, Oppland, Norway, son of Juul Olsen Høyme and Berit Evensdatter Følken. He came to America with his parents and five siblings on “Drafna”, which sailed from Drammen and reached New York on 7 Aug 1848. They came to Liberty Township, Manitowoc County, Wisconsin. Civil War: Private. Post war: Married on 9 Nov 1867 to Emilie Hermann (1845-1923). He became a grocery clerk in Manitowoc. Died 19 Jan 1905. Buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc County.
