WI 15th Inf Co ?. Born “Halvor Halvorsen Doxrød” on 19 Jun 1835 at Gjerpen, Norway, son of Halvor Engebregtsen Doxrød and Anne Marie Eriksdatter Brekke. He came to America with his parents and six siblings on “Argo”, which sailed from Havre, France, and arrived in New York on 26 Jul 1843. They came to Norway Township, Racine County, Wisconsin.
