Enlisted for three years on 20 Aug 1862 at Leeds. Mustered 25 Sep 1862 at Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Absent at General Hospital at Keokuk, Iowa, since 29 Aug 1863. Returned to the Company for duty on 20 May 1865. Post war: Died at age 45 in 1883 and is buried in the Lutheran Cemetery at Brookings, South Dakota.
