Came to America in 1847 with his parents and siblings. Civil War: Enlisted with his father, John Hoff, and brother, Johan Hoff, in 1861. Private. Survived the war. Post war: Married in 1866 to Mathilde Johnson Dalesveen, who died the following year. Married again in 1870 to Rose Quinn from Ettrick, Wisconsin. Lived at Ettrick. Peder Hoff died 24 Nov 1920.
