This headdress, made of a square linen cloth, has blackwork embroidery (cross stitch) on one side of the diagonal. The embroidery motifs include squares, crosses, knots, and Trees of Life. A line of stars parallel the lace lined edges.
This headdress, or skaut, would have been worn by married woman in Voss.
