WI 15th Inf Co F. Residence: Manitowoc County, Wisconsin. Born “Anders Torstensen Saude” at Voss, Norway. Civil War: Unmarried. Farmer. Age 28. Blue eyes, dark complexion, 5’9”. Enlisted for three years on 21 Oct 1861 at Manitowoc, Wisconsin, and mustered at Madison, Wisconsin, 12 Dec 1861. Designated Corporal on 1 Jan 1862. Was wounded at Stone’s River, Tennessee. In October 1863 he was with the provision transport from Stevenson, Alabama. Assigned to 68th Indiana 13 Jan 1864 and returned at Strawberry Plains, Virginia. Killed, shot through his chest, at Kennesaw Mountain in the battle for New Hope Church, Georgia, 27 Jun 1864. Buried in the National Cemetery at Marietta, Georgia; section C, grave 750.
