Married 1857 to Marintha Wheeler. Eight children. Civil War: Married. Age 25. Enlisted for three years on 15 Aug 1862 at Madison, Wisconsin. Mustered there on 30 Aug 1862. Private. Left in hospital at Nicholasville, Kentucky, 9 Nov 1862. Discharged from the service for disability on 17 Jun 1863 at Camp Dennison, Ohio. Died 1912 in Cherokee, Iowa.
