Worked as a shoemaker at Wingville, Wisconsin. Married in 1854 to Beret N. Eggen. In 1855, they moved to a farm near Glencoe. Civil War: Private. Was four years in the war. Post war: He bought land in Todd County, Minnesota. He and Beret had 13 children. Ole died 2 Mar 1903.
