Enlisted for three years on 16 Dec 1863 at La Crosse, Wisconsin. Enlistment credited to Mauston, Juneau County. Mustered at La Crosse on 18 Dec 1863. Private. Sent to hospital in May 1864. Rejoined the company in June 1865 at Beaufort, South Carolina. Was with the company in the campaign through the Carolinas. Discharged from the service 12 Jul 1865 at Louisville, Kentucky.
