Enlisted for three years on 13 Aug 1862 at Milwaukee and mustered there on 21 Aug 1862. Private. Was in the battles of Perryville and Stone’s River. Transferred to Company B on 10 Sep 1862. Detached to the Pioneer Corps on 25 Nov 1862. Detached to Company K, 45th Regiment of New York Volunteers, by order of Brig. Gen. Miller, Commander of the Post, Nashville, Tennessee, 25 Oct 1864.
