WI 25th Inf Co K. Residence: White Creek, Adams County, Wisconsin. Born in New York. Civil War: Carpenter. Married. Age 27. Blue eyes, auburn hair, dark complexion, 5’5”. Enlisted for three years on 15 Aug 1862 at White Creek. Mustered 14 Sep 1862 at La Crosse, Wisconsin. Sergeant. “This man has been with the Regt up to November 1863 when he was sent to the state to recruit for this Regt and joined the command at Vicksburg [unsure of this due to scribbling] with the detachment of recruits and was then with Regt up to the 22nd of July when he was wounded in hip and was furloughed home from hospital and there taken in to Harvey Hospital where he has been since on crutches. Was promoted to Sargt for soldierly conduct.” Mustered out 13 Sep 1865. Post war: He was granted a pension of $14 a month because of a wound to the lower part of his body.
