WI 7th Inf Co G. Born in Norway. Civil War: Farmer. Unmarried. Age 18. Gray eyes, light brown hair, fair complexion, 5’10½”. Enrolled for one year and mustered on 11 Nov 1864 at Janesville, Wisconsin, as a substitute for Knud Iverson of Deerfield, Dane County, Wisconsin. Private. Took part in the battles of Hatcher’s Run, Gravely Run. Wounded in action in the battle of Five Forks, Virginia, 1 Apr 1865. Discharged from the service at the end of the war.
