Enlisted for one year on 6 Feb 1865 at Winneconne. Mustered 18 Feb 1865 at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Bounty $100, $33.33 paid. Private. Left in hospital at Waneusburg (sic), Missouri, on 8 Apr 1865. Mustered out at Fort Leavenworth 30 Dec 1865. Post war: He lived at Elk Point, South Dakota. Died there and was buried in Elk Point Cemetery, second addition, block 4, lot 44, grave 2.
