Drafted, Sixth district of Wisconsin. Enrolled for one year on 23 Sep 1864 at Modena, Wisconsin. Mustered 28 Sep 1864 at Madison, Wisconsin. Private. Wounded in a leg. Discharged from the service 9 Jun 1865. Post war: Moved to Holt, Marshall County, Minnesota. Married to Elsie, who was granted a pension after her husband’s death. David died on 22 Mar 1903 in Buffalo County, Wisconsin, and is buried at Lyster Lutheran churchyard, Nelson, Wisconsin.
