They went to Christiania Township, Dane County. Civil War: Age 18. Farmer. Unmarried. Blue eyes, light hair, light complexion, 5’5”. Enlisted for three years on 2 Jan 1864 at Stoughton, Wisconsin. Mustered 21 Jan 1864 at Madison, Wisconsin. Private. Recruit. Was in the battles of Fort DeRussy, Louisiana, April 1864; Pleasant Hill, Louisiana, 8 Apr 1864; Lake Chicot, Arkansas, 6 Jun 1864; and at Nashville, Tennessee, 15 & 16 Dec 1864.
