Enlisted for three years on 21 Mar 1864 at Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Mustered 30 Mar 1864 at Madison, Wisconsin. Private. In camp through Georgia as far as the Chattahoochee River. Taken sick and sent to Chattanooga. Returned to duty at Goldsboro, North Carolina, on 7 Apr 1865. Transferred to WI 3rd Inf Co K. Mustered out 18 Jul 1865.
