He came to America with his parents, four siblings and his grandmother on the “Columbo”, which sailed from Havre, France, and arrived in New York on 29 Aug 1846. Civil War: Age 22. Farmer. Unmarried. Blue eyes, brown hair, fair complexion, 5’6”. Enlisted for three years on 2 Sep 1861 at Spring Valley. Mustered 17 Oct 1861 at Janesville, Wisconsin. Private.
