Enlisted for three years on 21 Aug 1862 at Boscobel, Wisconsin. Mustered 18 Oct 1862 at Camp Utley, Racine, Wisconsin. Private. Mustered out at Vicksburg, Mississippi, on 9 Aug 1865. Post war: Died at age 71 on 1 Mar 1916 at Volga, South Dakota. Buried in Lutheran Cemetery there. Widow Sarah.
