Enlisted for three years on 10 Dec 1861 at Waupun, Wisconsin, and mustered at Madison, Wisconsin, on 16 Dec 1861. Private. Promoted to Corporal 1 May 1862. Served as Colonel Heg’s orderly. Sick in Bowling Green, Kentucky, 17 Sep 1862. Died there of nerve fever on 1 Jan 1863, and was buried in Nashville National Cemetery; section N, grave 679.
