Came to America on the ship “Ørnen”, out of Bergen and arriving at New York on 2 Aug 1844. Civil War: Age 21. Enrolled 15 Aug 1862. Mustered 30 Oct 1862. Private. Served in both Indian and Civil wars. Died 6 Aug 1864 at Pine Island, Goodhue County, Minnesota. His name had been erroneously printed “Fadland”, reported Lt. Col.
