From Selbu, Norway. Civil War: Private. Post war: One of the earliest settlers in St. Olaf Township, Otter Tail County, Minnesota. In his later years he was an inmate of the Soldiers’ Home in Iowa. He died “last week in a hotel room in St. Paul while on way to visit his daughter in Minneapolis”.
