Sent to hospital at Nashville, Tennessee, on 7 Aug 1863. On 31 Aug 1864, he was reported to have been absent sick in 24 Feb 1864. Demoted to ranks 1 Dec 1864 by order of Lt. Col. Ole Johnson, reason not given. Mustered out with Company A on 20 Dec 1864.
