Re-enlisted for three years as a Veteran on 1 Jan 1864 at Strawberry Plains, Tennessee, and re-mustered 25 Apr 1864 at McDonald’s Station, Tennessee. Bounty $400. To be given 30-days furlough in Wisconsin sometime before the end of his original term of service. He was given this re-enlistment leave on 3 May 1864. Temporarily assigned to Company H, 15th Wisconsin Infantry, at Whiteside, Tennessee. on 20 Dec 1864. Transferred to Wisconsin 13th Infantry, Company I. Mustered out 3 Jul 1865, Chattanooga.
