WI 25th Inf Co A. Born 1841 in Norway. Civil War: Age 21. Enrolled in August 1862 at Columbia County, Wisconsin. Corporal. Wounded on his right side in action at Mobile, Alabama. Discharged from the service 4 Jul 1865. Post war: Married Lena A. In March 1880, while living in Vermillion, Dakota Territory, he was granted a pension of $6 a month because of an injury to his right side. Died 1929 at age 88 in Fargo, North Dakota, and was buried in Bluff View Cemetery at Vermillion, South Dakota.
