Enlisted for three years on 22 Feb 1864 at Green Bay, Wisconsin. Mustered there the same day. Bounty $300. Recruit. Private. Took part with the Wisconsin 23rd Infantry in General Banks’ Red River Campaign in 1864. Died of disease on 15 Sep 1864 in a Regimental hospital at Brashear City, Louisiana.
