He was in a hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, 15 Jun 1864, and in Madison, Wisconsin, 28 Jun 1864 and there through 30 Jul 1864. He was mustered out at Madison on 9 Jan 1865, when his term of service had expired. Bounty still due of $100. He is entered on the Roll of Honor of the 2nd Brigade, 1st Division, 20th Army Corps. Post war: Lived in Zumbrota, Minnesota.
