Sick at Duval’s Bluff, Arkansas, 29 Aug 1863. On detached service in Wisconsin 13 Aug 1864. On 29 Oct 1864, Sergeant Isaacsen is shown as rejoining Company H from detached service in Wisconsin. Promoted to First Sergeant on 6 Jul 1865. Mustered out with company on 29 Aug 1865 at Brownsville, Texas. On 25 Sep 1865, he was given a commission as a Brevet (honorary) Second Lieutenant.
