Wounded at Chickamauga, Georgia, 19 Sep 1863, and sent to hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and then north to Harvey Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. Discharged from the service from there because of his wounds on 20 Sep 1864. Post war: Lived in Vernon County, Wisconsin.
