WI 30th Inf Co D. Residence: Rush River, St. Croix County, Wisconsin. Born in Norway. Civil War: Farmer. Age 28. Married. Blue eyes, light hair, light complexion, 5’6”. Enlisted for three years on 20 Aug 1862 at Rush River. Mustered 21 Oct 1862 at Madison, Wisconsin. Private. Was sick at Camp Randall, Madison, 2 May 1863. Mustered out 20 Sep 1865 at Louisville, Kentucky. Post war: In October 1890, he was living in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. He died in the Wisconsin Soldiers Home about 1895.
