WI 15th Inf Co E. Residence: Primrose, Dane County, Wisconsin. “Asbjorn Olsen Helle” was born in Valle parish, Setesdal, Norway, on 22 Sep 1837. Civil War: Age 24. Unmarried. Enlisted for three years on 6 Nov 1861 in Dane County. Mustered 8 Dec 1861 at Madison, Wisconsin. Corporal. Seriously wounded in battle at Stone’s River, near Murfreesboro, Tennessee, on 30 Dec 1862; and sent to hospital at Nashville, Tennessee. Moved to a hospital at New Albany, Indiana, where he died on 18 Mar 1863 from his wounds. Buried in New Albany Cemetery.
