TX 46th Cav Co B. CSA. Born “Christopher Jensen Oddersland” on 5 Apr 1840 at Tromoy, Norway. Civil War: Enlisted for one year on 8 Mar 1862 at Stephensville. Private. Reenlisted for the war on 20 Dec 1862 at Camp Salmon. Promoted to Sergeant sometime between Jul 1863 and Oct 1864. Sick in Brenham hospital on 4 Nov 1864. Absent with leave 10 Dec 1864; did not return and was listed as a deseerter on 19 Mar 1865, when the unit was near Bastrop. Post war: Died 12 Apr 1915 at Norse, Bosque County, Texas.
