Mustered out 20 Jun 1865. Post war: He was married on 2 Sep 1874 to Anne Karine Eriksdatter Gulset (1847-1929). Four children. Lived in Iola, Wisconsin. From 1874 until 1900, he was a storekeeper in Scandinavia. Buried at Iola; stone reads “1843 – 1914”.
