Enlisted for three years on 15 Aug 1862 at Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Mustered 5 Sep 1862 at Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Private. Took part in the battle of Chaplain Hills on 8 Oct 1862 and was wounded.
