Enlisted for three years on 29 Feb 1864 at Waterford. Mustered 16 Mar 1864 at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Private. Came to Company C at McDonalds Station, Tennessee, 26 Apr 1864. Transferred to Company H at Whiteside, Tennessee, on 1 Jan 1865. Temporarily assigned to the 24th Infantry. Was sick in Division Hospital 28 May 1865. Transferred to Company I, 13th Infantry, 11 Jun 1865. Mustered out on 30 Nov 1865 at Madison, Wisconsin. Post war: Died in Zumbrota, Minnesota.
