Assigned as escort with the provision transport from Stevenson, Alabama, 13 Oct 1863. Promoted to Sergeant, 1 May 1863. Sick in Chattanooga 28 Nov 1863. Transferred to 68th Indiana, 1 Feb 1864. Came back to C Company 1 Apr 1864. Mustered out with C Company, 1 Jan 1865, at Chattanooga, Tennessee. Commissioned Second Lieutenant on 25 Feb 1867, effective from 19 Oct 1864. His name is on the Roll of Honor for the 2nd Brigade, 1st Division, 20th Army Corps. Post war: He became a farmer at North Cape.
