From Mandal, Norway. Revolutionary War: Served under John Paul Jones aboard the “Bonhomme Richard”. Later served on the “Alliance” and on the “Ariel”. Believed to have died at the U.S. Naval Asylum in Philadelphia on 12 Jul 1851.
