WI 15th Inf Co H. Residence: Christiana, Dane County, Wisconsin. Born in Norway. Civil War: Age 27. Unmarried. Sawmill master. Blue eyes, dark hair, dark complexion, 5’9”. Enlisted for three years on 28 Dec 1861 at Madison, Wisconsin, and mustered there on 13 Feb 1862. Designated Corporal. Sick in Chattanooga, Tennessee, November, 1862. Wounded at Resaca, Georgia, 14 May 1864, hit by a shell fragment that shattered his skull. Died of that wound in a hospital at Nashville, Tennessee, on 10 Jun 1864.
