Private. Wounded 6 Apr 1862, at Shiloh, Tennessee. Re-enlisted as a veteran on 25 Dec 1863 and re-mustered on 5 Jan 1864. Mustered out 20 Jul 1866, Memphis, Tennessee. Post war: Moved from Wisconsin to Richland County, Dakota Territory. In September 1875, while living in Owego, Richland County, Dakota Territory, he was granted a pension of $6 a month because of a gun shot wound to his right thigh.
