Enlisted for three years on 19 Nov 1861 at Madison, Wisconsin, and mustered there on 25 Nov 1861. Private. Wounded at Chickamauga, Georgia. Mortally wounded in the Battle at New Hope Church, at Alatoona, Georgia, 27 May 1864, and died of his wounds later that day.
