He came to America with his parents and four siblings on “Bowditch” which sailed from Havre, France, and arrived in New York on 8 Aug 1846. They came to Columbia County. Civil War: Farmer. Age 21. Unmarried. Blue eyes, light hair, light complexion, 6’. Enlisted for three years on 24 Apr 1861 at Madison, Wisconsin. Mustered 11 Jun 1861 at Madison. Corporal.
