Enlisted for three years on 25 Jan 1862 at Vernon, Wisconsin, and mustered at Madison, Wisconsin, 13 Feb 1862. Private. Was with the provision transport from Stevenson, Alabama, in October 1863. Sick in Chattanooga, Tennessee, 19, 25 and 28 Nov 1863. Was in the regimental stockade at Chattanooga on 17 Dec 1864 and later, awaiting to be tried by General Courts Martial, but the records show no more about that. Mustered out at Madison, 6 Mar 1865.
