Private. Re-enlisted & re-mustered 5 Jan 1864. Promoted Corporal, 1 Mar 1865. Wounded in his face. Mustered out 20 Jan 1866 Memphis, Tennessee. Post war: Became a farmer in Preston Township, Fillmore County, Minnesota. Married Carrie Storlie (b. Norway) in 1867. They had nine children: Louis, Olaf, Peter, George, Henry A.
