LARSON, John

WI 2nd Cav Co C. Residence: Wauzeka, Wisconsin. Born 11 Mar 1835 on the Flatestol farm in Norway. Came to the US with brothers Michael and Lars in 1851. Married on 25 Aug 1853 to Cornelia Emerjane Parker, who was born 10 Mar 1837 in New York. Civil War: Farmer. Age 28. Married. Blue eyes, sandy hair, light complexion, 5’7”. Enlisted for three years on 4 Jan 1864 at Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. Enrolled at Grafton, Grant County, Wisconsin. Enlistment credited to Patch Grove, Grant County. Private. Post war: John Larson after the war farmed near Wauzeka, Wisconsin, then in 1876 moved to Bridgewater, South Dakota. His wife, Cornelia, died 7 Sep 1894. On 24 Feb 1898 John married Ingeborg Sophi Johnson (who was born in Norway 24 May 1835 and who died 24 Apr 1920 at Lake Stevens, Wisconsin). Sometime after 1898, they moved to Everett, Washington.
