WI 11th Inf Co C. Born 8 Feb 1842 in Norway. Came to America with his parents in 1852, to Racine County, Wisconsin. Later moved to Minnesota to Houston, Fillmore and finally Jackson counties. Civil War: Enlisted in 1861. Later he enlisted in IA 5th Inf Co I. Was discharged 1 Jun 1866. Post war: He was married in 1868 to Thora Olson. Twelve children. They moved to Dane Prairie, Otter Tail County, Minnesota. Died 10 Oct 1926 at his home. Buried in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fergus Falls, Otter Tail County.
