WI 15th Inf Co D. Residence: Neenah, Winnebago County, Wisconsin. Born Syvert Terjesen on 2 Aug 1844 in Norway. Civil War: Age 18. Unmarried. Enlisted for three years on 5 Nov 1861 at Neenah, and mustered at Madison, Wisconsin, 8 Dec 1861. Private. Disappeared during Battle of Stone’s River, Tennessee, 31 Dec 1862; was arrested and returned to duty the same day. [Meeker writes that Larson was “Wounded at Stone’s River. Taken prisoner at Stone’s River.”] Assigned as an escort with the provision transport on 13 Oct 1863. Mustered out with Company D on 13 Feb 1865 at Chattanooga, Tennessee.
