Civil War: Farmer. Age 21. Unmarried. Dark eyes, dark hair, fair complexion, 5’9”. Enlisted for three years on 14 Aug 1861 at Newark. Mustered 20 Aug 1861 at Aurora, Illinois. Private. Mustered out on 8 Oct 1864 at Springfield, Illinois, by reason of expiration of his term of service. Post war: Returned to Norway and was pensioned there.
